It was an absolute honour to engage in a robust conversation with Megan about her Chapter, My Transformation Education Chapter. In this conversation, we cover the following points:
- Megan's love for teaching and her landing in the profession,
- Her experience when she first commenced her career,
- The discovery of something that did not appear to work for all her students,
- Engaging in the LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) training, which assisted with Megan's shift in practice and knowledge expansion
- Some of what her current practice includes in areas of decoding (the technical act of reading), language comprehension, the building of knowledge and vocabulary, writing practice, and so forth.
