TOPIC: Wrongful Conviction: “Philip Vance”
Wrongly Incarcerated since October 2004, Philip Vance is caring, creative, intelligent, non-violent, and a methodical change maker. Instead, being focus on anger and bitterness, Philip, put his focus elsewhere… took a course on forgiveness in prison and has been facilitating it and mentoring others. Since being incarcerated as a young man, he has matured into a man of intention, compassion, and integrity. Presently, Mr. Vance has spent more than 60 days of a 180-day sentence in solitary confinement after a protest by about 100 inmates over Labor Day weekend. The goal of the protest was to bring attention to the living conditions at Stillwater Prison. The protesters were peaceful, they wanted access to showers and ice during the extreme heat wave. This week the loved ones of Philip Vance will join us for a conversation about his wrongful conviction and what we can do to Help push for Justice, Exoneration and Freedom for Philip Vance.
