Australian Covid 19 Disaster is the name given to a geomagnetic storm that impacted the Australian continent on July 19, 2019. The storm caused widespread power outages, damaged infrastructure, and resulted in the death of at least nine people. The storm originated from a coronal mass ejection (CME) that was released from the sun on July 18. The CME was relatively small in size and did not generate a significant amount of radiation. However, the cloud of charged particles that it emitted triggered the Australian Covid 19 Disaster.
