Society is made up of numerous components—people, organizations, institutions, and the like—that all interact to form a system. The system has been in place for a long time, and it is intended to keep people safe, maintain order, and ensure that everyone’s needs are met. But as times change, we have to ask: is the system still effective? Has the system failed society?
Many people feel that the answer is yes. The major issues are often the same: inequality, limited opportunities, crumbling infrastructure, and more. Despite the efforts of legislation and of the government, these issues persist. We can no longer ignore the flaws in the existing system, and many believe that it’s time to make substantive changes.
