Description

Mike and Adam are here to guide you through the good, the great, and the garbage from the Mainstream Rock Songs chart from October 2, 1999. Many surprises lay in wait for you in this, the final year of the nineties—not the least of which is one of the most popular hair bands of the eighties breaking back onto the charts. The bearded bad boys of blues-rock, ZZ top, make an appearance. Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, NIN and STP return. Lit, blink-182, Oleander and Our Lady Peace show up for the first time. Staind, Buckcherry, Alice in Chains, Queensryche... You're just gonna have to listen!

Part 2 of this chart won't be ready for 2 weeks, but fret not. We will be with you next week, doing a very special Tom Petty in the 90s episode, to honor the 1-year anniversary of his passing.
