Trading in Color is a private mentorship course founded by Essence Coats in which she is the owner, educator and primary mentor of the company. Trading in Color offers technical analysis strategies to help develop or improve new and seasoned traders. After over a year of Multi Level Marketing groups promising false results and improper education of the skill, Essence took her education into her own hands. Coming from 10+ years in corporate she maneuvered her way through the MLM platform determined to learn the skill of trading to leave the learned behaviour of the 9-5, savings account and a retirement. When she couldn't find it there she moved on to private mentorship as a mentee. During that time her skills took off for the most promising future she could have dreamt of. Learning to trade wasn't her primary goal, the goal was for her to take it back to her community and teach those less fortunate , people of color how to become financially free. Often summoning Harriet Tubman as her guidance she fought through the difficulties of the skill, built her own platform and 12 week course, breaking down the jargon (complicated terms) used in corporate to bite size pieces to bring it back to her community in simple terms. Trading gave Essence the ability to live through purpose and not through a paycheck. She is a mom of 2 and nothing is more important to her than to be able to spend time with her children and travel the beautiful land God promised to those that are obedient to his calling. Since then she has had 3 classes filled to capacity of all different walks of life, age groups and work backgrounds duplicating her skill set and building other leaders of the community to do the same through promoting them to leaders within her organization so that they too, can give back.
