In the midst of a booming ~20 year Corporate career, Ke found herself in 2019 on the brink of a breakdown resulting
from grief, anxiety & depression that had gone unacknowledged or treated. With the help of therapy, Ke embarked on
a journey of self-discovery that uncovered many internal “scars” and a lack of self-love that had been masked for
years. This ignited a passion to not only heal and love herself completely but also help other women who may be
suffering in silence and “shackled” by scars they are afraid to face.
In 2021, Ke publicly started speaking out about her mental health struggles, dealing with alopecia, and the associated
shame & stigma. During this time, she also founded MP SAVAGE Hair, which provides glueless, natural looking,
beginner-friendly, braided wig units and fitting/consultation services. Birthed directly from her personal alopecia
journey and the renewed confidence she found wearing wigs as her alopecia worsened, MP Savage Hair is dedicated
to helping women look and feel beautiful no matter what they may be dealing with.
Ke decided to exclusively provide braided wig units, as braids are a staple in black culture and are often missed by
black women with hair loss/hair challenges. Additionally, she wanted to provide a less risky (stress to hair/hair loss) &
less costly (time & money) option for ANY woman who desires to wear braided styles.
For Ke, MP SAVAGE Hair is more than just selling wigs. It's about providing a physical & mental transformation to her
clients, many who are dealing with hair loss as a result of medical conditions or treatment (such as alopecia or
chemo). She infuses her years of research, trial & error, and experience as a wig consumer with her current self-
love/self discovery journey and mission to be “S.A.V.A.G.E. AF” to create a special & personal experience for her
clients, who she affectionately refer to as QUEENS.
S.A.V.A.G.E. which Ke defines as (STRONG- AUTHENTIC- VICTORIOUS- AMAZING- GRACEFUL- ENOUGH) is
her personal mantra and also at the center of her company’s core. Being SAVAGE is all about loving yourself
unconditionally and not letting anyone or anything (including a condition or diagnosis) define your value or make you
feel less than the queen God created you to be.
Ke is just getting started on her mission to help as many women as possible to live FEARLESSLY &
UNAPOLOGETICALLY S.A.V.A.G.E. MP SAVAGE Hair (which is in the process of being rebranded) is the 1st of
several offerings that will fall under her company, HerSAVAGE, which will be rolled out this year. HerSAVAGE will
focus on helping women remove ALL barriers hindering them from walking in confidence.
Ke currently resides in Romulus, MI with her husband and two children. Her daughter is her business partner. She is
a DPS graduate (Bates Academy & Cass Tech), has a B.S. in Mgt Information Systems, & an Executive MBA from
Michigan State University. She is also a member of Triumph Church and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
