JinJapan New years trip to Ise Jingu (伊勢神宮)

Ise (伊勢) located in Mie prefecture Japan, is the heart of Japanese Shinto religion, as its home to the most important god, Ameterasu 天照大神「アマテラスオオミカミ」, the sun god in Japanese Shinto. Think of Ise Jingu like the Mecca of Shinto and you will get the right idea of the image this temple has in the minds of Japanese people. Ameterasu is enshrined in Ise Jingu Naigu (伊勢神宮内宮) and over the news years, is one of the most visited shrines in Japan. On new years eve and new years day I visited Ise Jingu and now its time to log my experience and what I learnt
