In this episode, we are joined by 2019 Junior Cross-Country Mountain Biking Champion, Charlie Aldridge.
Charlie has been cycling since he was young and started bike racing when he was 11, which lead to him very quickly progressing through the Scottish and British Development systems until he made British Cycling Junior Academy in 2017 after winning the European Youth Championships.
Charlie has balanced school work and university work with training for the majority of his cycling journey and continues to do so now that he is studying for a degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Edinburgh.
Tune in to today's episode to hear Charlie talk about his journey into cycling, his time on the Scottish development squad for skiing, his sporting inspirations, life as a professional athlete in lockdown, and his cooking abilities.
