So what do you think? Does God have any limits on what he would like to give us? Is he interested in only sharing so much wisdom and no more? so much power and no more? What about guidance? Is he only going to give us so much guidance after which we are on your own? And what about qualities such as patience, kindness, goodness, or gentleness? Does he make only so much of these available after which comes the cut off?
I suggest to you that God — by nature — never withholds from anyone anything that will best help them, that is, whatever will be most beneficial to them within the specific circumstances they face hour by hour and day by day.
The limit is never on God’s side of the picture. It is always on our side or on the side of spiritual forces that oppose God’s way.
Consequently, whenever we pray, it behoves us to always realize that God is going to generously and super abundantly grant us everything we need to handle the situation effectively. There simply are no limits on his side so we do well to make sure there are none on our side, that our arms and hearts are wide open to allow his blessings to flow into us and through us.
1 John 4:16, “God is love.” That is to say, pure helpfulness. It is his very nature to give, and give, and give again all the help we need at any time or in any circumstance.
Here it is in black and white, Romans 8:32 — “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”
