In Galatians 6:9-10 (NIV) 9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
Instead of regretting what you’ve been, damaging choices you’ve made, your self-centeredness, and so on, ask yourself, “what am I doing right now, each day, to be as helpful as I can be to the next person I’m with? the next person who cross my path? the next person who comes to my attention? In other words, let all self-regard be lost in the adventure of working with Jesus in everyday helpfulness.
