In James 1:17 we read, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
Absolutely everything that you can point to in your life that you call good, came down to you from God. Here’s a simple challenge for this week: every time you notice something you appreciate or enjoy, something that gladdens your heart, why not pause, glance upward, and say, “thanks, Lord.” See how many of such thank-yous you can pack into each day.
