Let me share with you some thoughts to reflect on:
- God, by definition, cannot ever do anything that is unimportant or insignificant, unloving or unwise.
- It is impossible for a perfectly good God to do other than what is always perfectly good.
- Everything God does at all times and in all circumstances is absolutely essential to the total possible wellbeing of everything He has made.
- God always makes available to all his rational creatures optimum conditions for them to choose life.
- So when a rational creature refuses to respond to those optimum conditions and receive abundance of life, it is not God who changes so as to remove those optimum conditions. He said of himself, “I, the LORD, do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.” (Micah 3:6)
- What has changed is that, by refusing the source of life, that creature begins to die even while surrounded by every possible condition to choose abundance of life.
