I’m sure you’ve heard it too. It’s that voice from within that says, “you need this…you need that…you want this…you want that…this is what you must do…” or, “…avoid that.” In other words, you take charge, you make it happen, you resolve the situation like this.”
All that jargon in spite of the fact that God has made it clear that we already have all our needs met and problems solved. Here’s what he’s done:
Ephesians 1:3 (NIV)
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”
2 Peter 1:3 (CSB)
“His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”
Notice, “has blessed us…has given us”.
So it seems to come down to this: we can focus our attention on what we see and feel as to what’s going on or we can take our stand on the word of God and be done with every contrary voice.
Psalm 33:22 — “Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.”
