Description

Here’s what I consider to be a wholesome exercise in what could be called setting another person free. What I mean is this: when you think of another person, what exactly do you think? What do you see? Generally we see a portrait made up of our opinions of that person. We see who we think that person is.

But try this: look at someone while you blank out all your thoughts and impressions of that individual. See only the truth that that person is exceedingly precious to God. Allow yourself no other thoughts except perhaps to pray God's blessings upon them.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if in thinking of you, others only considered how precious you are to God and prayed God’s blessings on you? Well, Jesus said, “do to others what you would have them do to you.” (Luke 6:31)
