Luke 4:8 — “Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.”
The extent to which I am worshiping the Lord is evidenced by the amount of helpfulness flowing through my life. The more I sense the preciousness of the people I meet each day, the more attentive I am to help them, the more I can be assured that I am worshiping God.
Worship is an offering of one’s whole self to God in the sense of offering Him an empty vessel to be filled.
The reason God seeks and takes pleasure in our worship is precisely because He is thereby being allowed to fill us with His helpfulness for everyone we meet each day.
