Description

This is part 2 of a series of podcasts whereby I hope to highlight that in which we most want to experience peace of mind.

Number 1 was that we want the peace of mind of knowing that all our needs are going to be met day by day.

2) we want the peace of mind of being able to confidently say, “all is well” regarding everyone and everything that concerns us

This peace of mind rests on promises that have to do with how wonderfully God is going to act on our behalf and answer our concerns above and beyond our wildest hopes and dreams.

Notice: Awesome things will you show us … How great your wonders and your plans for us! … and he will do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.

So what do we need to do with today’s concern? Bring it to him. Place it in his hands. Then begin to praise him whenever that concern revisits our minds:

“Lord, awesome things will you show me in how you resolve this. How great are your plans for this troubling situation! I can rejoice because you are going to do immeasurably more than all I could ask or imagine with it! All is well and all manner of things will be well. I have nothing to fear.”

In the words of one Christian writer written centuries ago, God wants us to know that our least concern is not forgotten. For just as he made all things out of nothing, so will he make well all that is not well. (Julian of Norwich, 1342c.-1416, adapted)
