What kind of person do I most aspire to be? Someone who is always true to Jesus. That, I believe, is the race marked out for me. Or, the the words of the apostle Paul, it is “that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”
From notes in my journal, this is part 2 of a series of five propositions I drafted for myself to define what that means. My hope is that you will find something here that could help you know what Jesus is calling you to as well.
The first one was that in being true to Jesus, I want to be 1) walking with him as friend with friend — sharing all of my thoughts with him and listening with everything in me for his voice so as to unflinchingly act on his guidance or take his counsel to heart.
Secondly, I want to be 2) trusting in him to meet my every need in his time and way.
