Description

I’m persuaded that to worship God is not primarily something we do by prayers, songs, or ritual. It has more to do with how we live and whether or not our lifestyle fulfills God’s highest intentions for us.

In Romans 12:1 the Apostle Paul writes, “…offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

To offer our bodies to God as a living sacrifice takes in everything we do with our bodies. Hence, we are living a life of worship when — in all kinds of ways — all that we are doing fulfills God’s highest intention for each of us, which, I suggest is to be his true friend. Prayers, songs, or ritual are just ways we celebrate that unspeakable honor.
