Description

Someone raised the following question: “Suppose you are in a certain place and you need to find the way to a distant destination over country that you have never traveled. God gives you two options. You can have a map (his law), or you can have a personal guide (his grace).” -D Prince

A good definition of “grace” may be this: the guiding presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

If we choose the guide, then the all-important issue all day long and especially in the face of a challenge is the inward posture of, “am I following my guide right now? am I right beside him? does he have my attention?  what does it mean for me to stay close to him regarding this stretch of the journey?

Notice: I don’t need to know his plan; I just need to stick with him by being sensitive and responsive to his instructions and directions.

In Psalm 73:23-24 the Psalmist writes, “I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.”
