Psalms 34:1 reads, “I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Let’s ask, Why do we praise someone? Because we observe that person doing something we or someone else stands to benefit from in some way. And notice that the more people benefited the more praise we lavish on the benefactor. Also take note of the fact that praise gets even greater in proportion to the degree of self-sacrifice involved in delivering the benefit.
The more people impacted and the greater the self-sacrifice on the part of the benefactor the more praise we heap on him.
So what thoroughness and frequency of praise do you think is warranted if everything and everyone in the entire universe is maximally benefited, and that for that to happen, the benefactor even sacrificed his own life?
God never does anything, be it ever so “small” that does not simultaneously benefit everything in the entire universe to the highest and greatest degree possible, and, to that end — in Christ — he laid down his life.
Yes, “Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise.” Ps 145:3
