God’s response (vs 5-8): reveals the grace of God for mankind and His faithfulness to restore His kingdom on earth.

- It reveals God’s faithfulness to his plan of salvation.
Conclusion (v 9).
- When you face up with God you are against something which is in every respect immeasurably superior to yourself.
- A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and as long as we are looking down, we cannot see something that is above us.
- Our hope for life eternal in heaven must be based on God’s grace alone.
