Michelle was diagnosed with a learning disability in kindergarten. In high school, she was told by her counselors that she couldn’t handle college due to her disability. However, Michelle advocated for herself and successfully achieved her Associates Degree in early childhood education. When she expressed interest in achieving a bachelors degree, many doubters, including her psychiatrist, told her that it would be impossible.
Instead of listening to the naysayers, Michelle pushed forward, defied odds, and ultimately received her bachelors degree. Michelle is now a writer, advocate, paraeducator and gifted photographer.
On today's episode, Michelle shares her courageous story and her compassion-filled mission, “To Educate, Empower and Encourage People With and Without Disabilities”
