Native of the city once known as “Bombingham,” LaQuita Middleton uses her Black Studies degree to not only teach Black History, but also to challenge stereotypes people have of Black people. She employs her creative side by composing poems, monologues and dialogues, songs, etc., to help tell the stories of a systemically oppressed people who refuse to surrender the fight for freedom.
