Description

An interview with author and Eugene, Oregon resident Kyle Yamada.

Yamada is a high school teacher who loves geeking out with his students about technology, but he hates it when they ignore him to look at their phones. He's been fascinated by high tech and the future ever since he fell in love with movies like Blade Runner and Back to the Future as a kid in the 1980s. Now that 2015 has come and gone without flying cars or hoverboards, he is skeptical about the promise of technology yet still can't help but get excited about the newest gizmos, especially if they come in a sleek, black case.

In the rare moments when he's not teaching, creating, walking the dog or spending time with his family, Kyle enjoys reading classic science fiction. He lives in Eugene, Oregon with his wife and two kids. Metanid Convergence is his first novel.
