1. Read Proverbs 3:11-12
2. To despise means to reject or treat as worthless. Can you think of an example of someone who treated God’s wisdom as worthless? What was the result?
3. How would you distinguish between an event that was God’s punishment and an event that was not God’s punishment? Or how do you know when something bad happening to you is from God?
4. What picture comes to mind when v. 12 speaks of God delighting in you and loving you with a strong emotional bond?
5. Please share a time when God disciplined you. What did you learn?
