Description

State of the Show is back and so is Tosh Meyers, riding high off a series win for his beloved Giants against the defending champion Dodgers. The boys kicked things off with a general discussion about the last month, especially the foreign substances problem that seems to finally be coming to a head in MLB. Then they tackled one burning question surrounding each division in the game, including:

· AL East: Do we still really think the Yankees have the highest ceiling of the four solid teams in this division?

· AL Central: Is Tony La Russa going to be the undoing of the White Sox? Is that possible? Could he be an asset in any way?

· AL West: If you were an aspiring GM and offered to take over the Mariners, Angels or Rangers, which would you take?

· NL East: Is this the Mets team that turns around the narrative (either when their All-Star cast of characters gets healthy or doesn’t?)

· NL Central: How much do we believe in the Cubs’ recent success/at what point does it make sense for them to stay pat or even buy at the deadline?

· NL West: Where do the Giants have to be at the deadline in order to buy? Which teams could catch them in the Wild Card?

Finally, the boys crossed of the first six teams that they are confident will miss the postseason this year, and gave a list of five players each in the NL and AL that they doubt you’re currently watching—but think you should be!!
