While one may be tempted to pass over and dismiss it, saying one knows the lesson already, how well do you know the lesson that is taken from James regarding what is important? Sometimes, the simplest lessons may be the most profound, and this week, John reminds us of the role the sovereignty of God plays in life—that is, the *life* in us and not merely our lives.
