Have you ever thought, “I’m broken?”
I’m talking to you today:
One of my biggest issues or fears is being invisible. I felt like people didn’t notice me no matter what I did. So, I’d try harder only to be disappointed.
It was a mindset issue. I thought I was invisible…I became invisible. I couldn’t see my worth, so no one else did.
You might feel similar so let me share a short story with you.
It was the 1950s in Thailand, and a group of monks discovered a clay statue was cracked. After chiseling off the clay layers, they revealed a solid gold statue worth 197 million dollars. The clay hid the gold for decades. No one could see its actual value.
You might tell yourself, “I’m broken,” or “what’s wrong with me.” You might think others are more valuable. But, you’re like the golden statue covered in layers of clay. Over the years, layers of crude have developed over you from fears, challenges, rejections, hurts and wrong thinking.
But, your true self is more valuable than you think. You are Priceless!
1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
How do you chisel away the layers of crude hiding your true self?
By choosing true thoughts and believing the correct story about yourself.
