Do you have a dream but find yourself saying, “I’ll do that tomorrow,” but tomorrow never comes?
Have you gotten caught up in the day-to-day of life and stopped pursuing your dreams?
Today is for you if you find yourself saying you’ll get to your dreams tomorrow.
If you’ve said I’m going to live a life of significance, but you’ve turned around, and you realize you said that a year ago, a decade ago, but haven’t done anything towards your dream, I’m talking to you too.
Twenty years from now, am I going to say:
I regret…
Or
I did it
Let this exercise be a catalyst so you can say, “I did it!”
Deathbed Exercise (from Seven Decisions by Andy Andrews):
Answer the following questions:
1. What was my life’s work about?
2. Who was affected as a result of my actions?
3. Who was made a better person because of me?
4. What are the three most significant events that happened because of me?
5. What will I be remembered for?
6. How is the world different because of me?
Write your Eulogy based on these questions–what do you want people to say about you when you’re gone?
Remember, this is a jumping-off point. You may not know all you’ll do, but start here, and you can update down the road.
