Description

When you look at your old story, can you only see the bad?

Is it possible there’s good in your old story?

Could there be any gifts your old story gave you?

Today is for you if you feel broken or unworthy because of your old story.

Maybe you can’t see any positive in your old story, and it’s keeping you from seeing what good can come in your future. I’m talking to you today.

Last episode, #72, We owned our old story. We took responsibility where we needed to and didn’t take responsibility that wasn’t ours to own. We also owned the cost of staying in our old story.

But it’s not all bad!

We need to own the GOOD.

Here are three ways to own the good in your old story.

1. What are your strengths?

You have strengths that you used in your old story. Where were you strong?

I am a moderator, a mediator. I can see all sides and bring people together.

2. How did those strengths show up in your old story? Where in your childhood and adulthood?

In my childhood, I always rescued my little brother from my older brother. I was also the mediator between my parents.

In my adulthood, being a mediator and seeing all the sides allowed me to see my part in my first marriage’s failure. I could see my former husband’s side of the story.

I used my strength for good to help others.

How about you?

3. What are the gifts your old story gave you?

Acknowledge those gifts.

The gift of learning to be a mediator helps me be a peacemaker with others and bring people together that have different views and beliefs. That’s a gift my old story gave me.

That is a part of my old story I want to take into my new story.

How about you? What are the gifts in your old story, and what do you want to take into your new story?

You got this!
