Are you ready to rewrite your story?

Today is for you if:

• You’re tired of your old story holding you back.
• You want to create a new brighter future.
• You’re ready to release the habits dragging you down and step into actions that give life to your story.

Over the last few episodes, we figured out the old story holding us back. We’ve learned how to own it and take responsibility for our part in the story, and own our strengths that helped us survive in our story.

Today it’s time to rewrite your story.

1. Pray

Go to God first. He’s there to give you wisdom and clarity to rewrite your story.

2. Rename the story

First, name your old story. What movie title or book title would you give your old story?

For me, it was Invisible Girl.

Then name your new story.

My new story name is I’ve got a golden ticket.

Because I used to feel like Charlie Bucket staring in the candy store window, he got the golden ticket and got to go to the Wonka factory. But, my favorite part is Charlie won the grand prize by being himself.

3. Write your new story

What do you want? What legacy do you want to leave?

What would your life of significance look like?

Brainstorm your story.

You can write it down or record it as a voice memo. Whatever works for you.

You may need to go back to it and keep tweaking it. Over time you’ll create a beautiful story you want to step into.

4. Do the next right action

Live in your new story, one step at a time.

Do the next right thing.

If your old story says to hide, then take the step to shine.

If your old story says no one wants to hear your voice, speak up.

If your old story tries to keep you living in shame, then speak the truth that you are the righteousness of God in CHRIST JESUS and show up fully you.

Do that thing you’re afraid to do and do it every day. Do the next right action. As you do, you’re stepping into your new story creating a bigger, brighter future one step at a time.
