Have you ever walked into a room full of people and still felt alone?
Does your marriage feel more like roommates or a transaction?
Is your relationship with God a to-do list, but you rarely feel close to Him?
Today is for you if you’re tired of feeling lonely or disconnected from friends, your spouse or God.
“Intimacy is our capacity for closeness and tenderness towards others.” – Richard Rohr.
Intimacy is what opens the door to closeness. It dissipates the loneliness.
Intimacy changes everything, including the way you live, love and communicate.
How do we achieve intimacy?
1. Let yourself out
Start with your relationship with God. It’s the safest place to start.
Intimacy is risky self-disclosure.
Sit with Father like you’re having a cup of coffee and a piece of pie with a friend.
As you do, you’ll get more comfortable.
2. Let others in
You have to let the wall down to let others in too.
Again, start with letting Father in. When you know how loved you are by your Heavenly Father; you can receive His love and give it to others.
You got this! You can do this!! And, you’re not doing it alone; your Father is with you every step of the way!
If this podcast is helping you, can you share it with a friend that needs it, please?
