Do you want to do something significant, but fear holds you back?
Are you waiting to feel brave so you can step out?
How’s that working for you? Yea, it didn’t work for me either.
Today is for you if you need some help being brave.
If you’re unsure or doubt yourself, I’m talking to you too.
If you’re tired of waiting for your life of significance to come to you, today is your day!
Courage isn’t the absence of fear–it’s doing it afraid anyway.
So how do you do it afraid anyway?
Courage is like a power plant.
Power plants don’t have energy; they generate energy.
We don’t have courage–we generate it!
Here are four steps to generate courage:
1. Name it
What do you want to do that you need courage for? Name it.
You must feel strongly about what you want, or you won’t bother to do what’s necessary to push past the fear.
2. Take it to God
Ask for wisdom, clarity and favor.
Proverbs 21:31 NIV
The horse is made ready for battle, but victory rests with the Lord.
3. Make a Plan
Think steps, not leaps. What are the small steps you can take toward your dream?
4. Go for it
Take the steps.
You generate courage as you go for it.
Each time you step out, you generate more courage for the next step.
As you take more steps, your courage builds and builds.
Each step moves you closer to your life of significance.
