Again and again, we hear about how the “evil” Russians – with Vladimir Putin leading the way – want to take down the U.S., maybe even teaming up with China to do so. After all, haven’t they already done a host of terrible things, like using deadly nerve agents to murder double agents who were living in other countries? What this sort of talk routinely neglects is simple reasoning: what would Putin gain if the U.S. falls, thus leaving, as superpowers only Russia – and China: a China that would then naturally being to look with envy on the vast Russian territories, and their incredible wealth of natural resources. This episode is a contribution towards exploding the myth that Putin is our “natural enemy”; in fact, he should be our natural ally in the ideological warfare being waged between those who love freedom, and those extremely powerful collectivists whose goal has always been domination: the Chinese Communist party.
