So often, we hear debates about “Socialism versus Capitalism”. Yet there are aspects of this issue most people have not considered. Capitalism is not a political system; it can exist in a democracy (it’s most natural environment), or in a fascist state (such as the Third Reich), or under a Communist regime (as in modern China). Socialism, on the other hand, always has to do with the State itself, and inevitably descends into totalitarianism, for its basic premise is for the State to know and control what every single person has, in order to be able to “redistribute” that wealth. Yet whereas Capitalism has proven to be the most effective “wealth generator” ever devised, Socialism is by its very nature not conducive to the growth of wealth, but merely to its redistribution, and therefore, it always leads to people having less instead of more. So how has it managed to survive in so many western countries? Answer: by parasitically living off the wealth that not it, but rather Capitalism, has accumulated… In this episode I dig deeper into this subject, in a way that everyone will easily be able to follow.
