Description

Nat and Alli discuss 2002's Frida, a biopic of Mexican Surrealist Frida Kahlo directed by Julie Taymor (The Tempest, Across the Universe) and starring Salma Hayek and Alfred Molina as Kahlo and her husband Diego Rivera. The film accurately depicts both Kahlo's bisexuality and commitment to socialism, but the movie exploration of her sexuality was marred by the behind-the-scenes interference at Miramax.
