Description

For 50 straight years from 1970 to 2019, Michael Ortman attended Opening Day in Major League Baseball. His travels took him to games in Washington, Baltimore, and Chicago, and you can hear all about his experiences in his book, Opening Day: 50-For-50. Michael joins host Josh McKinney in today's edition of "Call to the Bullpen" to discuss his book, the impact of Ryan Zimmerman on the Washington Nationals, the Nationals' World Series run in 2019, the 33-year absence of a professional baseball team in Washington, the current state of MLB, and more.

Before welcoming Michael to the show, Josh discusses the documentary McGuire's Miracle in "Movie Shout-Out," talks about the first WNBA game and more in "This Day in Sports History," and explains unique rules from football, tennis, and baseball in "Off-the-Wall."
