Description

We often think that "once we have the thing" - whatever that might be - everything gets easier after that. However, sometimes the upkeep is just as difficult and time-consuming as the original work it took to get "the thing."

Example: You climb a mountain, thinking the whole time it will be easier to walk down the other side. When you reach the top however, you soon realize the other side is full of more rocks and brush than you anticipated. As it turns out the other side of what you thought you wanted wasn't a walk in the park....

Daily question/challenge: How many metaphorical "mountains" have you climbed only to find that it wasn't what you truly wanted? Follow-up: What experience/knowledge did you gain just from the act of doing that thing?
