Welcome to episode 11 of "Then, A Moment"! A podcast where two life-long storytellers talk about stories!
On today's episode, Pavi and Colin break down the musical “Into the Woods.” Into the Woods was originally created in 1987 using James Lapine’s story and Stephen Sondheim’s music and lyrics. The musical stars beloved fairy tale characters like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk. The story follows a Baker and his wife who desperately wish for a child but are cursed by a wicked witch. To break the curse, they embark on a journey into the mysterious woods, where their paths intertwine with other characters on their quests. As they confront their fears and desires, the musical delves into the consequences of wishes and the importance of compassion and unity.
