Perfect Love drives out fear...and envy! Proverbs 27:4 says “Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?” James 3:15 even says envy is demonic in nature! Though it may seem like jealousy and comparison have the power, we’re going to talk about a greater power that far surpasses and overcomes, Jesus!
When we understand Jesus came as God’s one and only Son tosave us, to have life to the full now and into eternity, when we didn’t deserve it, then we want to show this grace and love for others, putting their needs before our own like Jesus did for us. It all goes back to the cross. Picture Jesus on the cross, dying for you, when we do, what more could we askfor? What’s there to be jealous of?
