Self-reflection is called reflective awareness or reflective consciousness in the psychotherapy community; however, many of us don't take the time to reflect on things we go through in our lives. We spend most of our days skyrocketing through every moment instead of finding the time to hit pause. Recently, I decided to reincorporate moments of self-reflection monthly; instead of doing it periodically, I made sure it became a part of my daily lifestyle.
Self-reflection is a time to assess your mental well-being daily, weekly, and monthly. It can allow you to work through uncomfortable moments, acknowledge the lessons you learn from life, and help you take accountability for where you need to improve. In this episode, I discuss five ways self-reflection can reduce your therapy sessions, give you inner peace, and ignite your self-awareness.
