Black Americans are living longer, according to CDC statistics. The death rate declined by about 25% in 17 years, mainly for those 65 and older. This may be an improvement, but new studies show that younger Black Americans live and die of many conditions found in White Americans at older ages. It shows in Black Americans in the ranges of 20s - 40s. Some diseases start early but lead to death earlier in life. These issues can be caused by economic and social conditions that are more common among Black Americans than White Americans. Healthcare can be an example of this discrepancy. Black Americans should be able to see a doctor about their health concerns, but reports show they do not because of doctors' costs. Overall, all Americans should have equal opportunities to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
