Macronutrients vs Micronutrients...

All we ever hear people talk about is macros. Protein and calories. Low carb this, low fat that. But what about the other half that is just as important? In fact, in terms of optimal health, it could be argued that they are more important. What about our micros? Why are we neglecting them?

It's time to stop eating the same nutrient deficient protein bars as the "influencers" (or so called experts * eye roll *), and take a look at our foods from a microscopic level. We need to eat foods that yes, have great macronutrient numbers (these are important too), but also foods that provide us with micros such as vitamins and minerals. Without these, our body cannot function optimally, and unfortunately, many of us are deficient in micros that we may not expect.
