This is the 8th chapter of the book My Journey transforming dreams into actions written by APJ ABDUL KALAM. In this chapter Kalam shared his favourite books . He said books are your good friends . He shared his three favourite books one is Light from many lamps written by Lillian Eichler Watson second one is Thirukural written by Thiruvalluvar and the third one is Man the unknown written by Alexis Carrel. He also mentioned how these books motivate him and uplift him from his sorrow . He also shared his working experiences at DRDO , ISRO and INCOSPAR how the words of different religious books encouraged him to go ahead.
At last he shared a poem on the books .
