আল ফাজ্র (আরবি: سورة الفجر) কুরআনের ৮৯তম সূরা। আল ফাজ্র শব্দের অর্থ ভোর। এই সূরাটি কুরআনের ৩০তম পারায় অবস্থিত। এতে ৩০টি আয়াত আছে।[১] এই সূরাতে প্রাচীনকালের কয়েকটি অবিশ্বাসী জাতির ধ্বংস হওয়ার কাহিনী বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া অর্থলিপ্সু ও নির্দয় লোকদের সমালোচনাও এই সূরায় বিদ্যমান। এখানে সৎ ও সত্যপন্থীদেরকে জান্নাতের সুসংবাদও দেয়া হয়েছে। এই সূরার শুরুতে প্রভাত বেলার শপথ করে বক্তব্য সূচনা করা হয়েছে।[২]
নামকরণ
সূরাটির প্রথম শব্দ 'আল ফাজ্র' এর নাম হিসেবে নেয়া হয়েছে। যার অর্থ হচ্ছে ভোরবেলা। উক্ত সূরাটিতে আল্লাহ পাঁচটি বস্তুর নাম উল্লেখ করে শপথ নিয়েছেন। [৩]
Then the surah discusses that Man praises God in prosperity, but reproaches him in adversity in ayaat 14th to 17th. The discourse then denounces the oppression of the poor in ayaat 18th to 22nd. And approaching the end ayaat 23rd to 25th give the verdict that the wicked will vainly regret their evil deeds on the judgment-day, while ayaat 26th to the 30th gives the good news to the believing soul invited to the joys of Paradise.[7]
