The answsers are Elton John, Adele, Ed Sheeran... Hannyta! The question? Which artists were in the top 5 South African Itunes pop downloads for the week of November 10, 2021? Hannyta's publicists reached out to us with a pointer to her smash hit "Wildflower" a couple of weeks ago, and when we heard it we just had to have her on Yeah Uh Huh. Having just returned from our vacation to the American west, we were mesmerized by the song's homage to Navajo culture and nod to those American heroes of World War 2 who converted a native American language into a weapon against the tyrrany of Asxis forces. Heady stuff for a young lady who had just passed her Scottish "highers" with alacrity. In our brief discussion with this rising star, we learned of Hannyta's love of American culture, her amazing collaboration with her proud father and some of the artists that have inspired her along the way. Towards the end, Hannyta disclosed that this was her very first interview, so we plan to take that to the bank when she is dominating the AMA's in the not too distant future. What a great surprise when she agreed agreed to chat with us from her home in the Scottish Highlands.
