When Christ died a gruesome death on the cross we can imagine how hopeless the disciples felt (even though they knew beforehand). The Lord chose to be slain for our sins; He chose to save us. But, He rose again! Hallelujah! This was over 2000 years ago and He is still risen for all eternity. His resurrection has raised up the dead souls and for all who come to know Him will be risen too.
