Charters Towers is now on Level 4 water restrictions due to the recent heavy rain. Council is working to repair the main intake. In addition, the Community Strategic Plan and Destination Management plan is now open for the community to have their input. And sadly, the CEO of the council is resigning in May. I spoke to the mayor of Charters Towers Regional Council, Liz Schmidt about this in our monthly interview this morning.
