Everyone likes cute and cuddly animals. Especially our wonderful native wildlife like Koalas, Wallabies and the endangered Bilbys. And something to look forward to when the gathering restrictions get lifted will be to make a bee line for Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo where they have recently implemented a succesfull bilby breeding program last October and have successfully bred 19 young joeys. I had a chat with one of the zookeepers, Steve Kleinig about it and what plans they have for the bilbys for the future.
